About This Project

Boulders is a custom residential build in north Scottsdale — a home designed in dialogue with its natural desert setting, integrating the existing boulder formations of the site into the architecture rather than working around them.

The project required significant site development work, including custom foundation engineering to accommodate the native rock formations, and careful landscape design that preserved the mature saguaro and palo verde on the property.

The home's exterior palette — sand-textured stucco, oxidized steel accents, and ipe wood — weathers naturally over time, intended to patina into its surroundings rather than contrast with them.
